How I Made £30k Before I Even Delivered the Webinar

Let’s start with a simple truth about buyer psychology and how launches work.

Most business owners are obsessed with one question:

“How do I get more people to show up live?”

And to be fair, that matters.

The more people who show up, the more people who usually buy. That part is true.

But there is another group almost nobody talks about.

The people who register… and will never attend live. No matter how many reminders you send. No matter how many emails you write. No matter how many times you “just bump this”.

Most people write those leads off.

I don’t.

In fact, that group is often my Gold Group .

Because if they did not want the result, they would never have registered in the first place. They signed up because they want the outcome.

The mistake is assuming they do not attend because they are not motivated.

Very often, they do not attend because they are busy .

They do not have time to dedicate 5 days to a challenge. They do not have 90 minutes spare for a masterclass. They are juggling clients, team, delivery, and real life.

They are what I call cash-rich, time-poor .

And these are often your best high-ticket buyers.

They want the outcome. But they do not have the time, patience, or desire to go the long way round.

That means if your launch only converts the people who attend live, stay until the pitch, and buy at the end… you are likely missing some of your best buyers.

That is exactly why the real money in this launch was made before I ever went live .

Not because I had a huge audience. Not because I ran some complicated funnel. And not because I hammered people with endless reminders.

It happened because I built a simple pre-webinar campaign that did two things really well:

1. It qualified people early 2. It moved the hottest leads into real conversations before the webinar

The big idea

As soon as someone signed up, they didn’t just get a generic confirmation email and a reminder sequence.

They went into a welcome sequence that promised extra content before the webinar.

That extra content wasn’t just there to “nurture” people. It was there to do something much more valuable:

surface intent.

The real qualification did not come from clicks alone.

It came from asking questions .

Inside the welcome sequence, people were guided into one of 3 pathways :

  • Qualified
  • Qualified with caveats
  • Unqualified

Those questions helped me work out where each lead actually stood.

So rather than treating every registration the same, I could segment people based on fit, readiness, and commercial potential.

Then I delivered pre-webinar content to each pathway.

That meant the messaging became more relevant, the lead experience became better, and the hottest opportunities became obvious much earlier.

The fully qualified leads were then offered a Turbo Call .

So I wasn’t waiting until the webinar to figure out who was a buyer.

I knew in advance.

What happened next

Once the most qualified leads became obvious, they were offered a Turbo Call .

This was positioned as a “skip the webinar” session .

In other words: if they were already a strong fit, already engaged, and already showing the right signs… they did not need to wait.

We could look at how they could use WhatsApp immediately .

That positioning matters.

Because this was not framed as a vague discovery call or a surprise sales call. It was a clear next step for the right person.

And the structure was simple:

  • 5 minutes understanding their business
  • 5 minutes making recommendations for how they could use WhatsApp
  • 5 minutes identifying how I could help them implement it

That final part is the most important.

Because this is still a sales exercise.

The goal is to serve the lead, give real value, and make the next step obvious.

Sometimes that next step is working with me. Sometimes it is simply watching the webinar.

Either way, the call needs to be positioned clearly before they book it.

They need to know that if working together looks like the right next step, I will say so. And if it does not, I will point them in the right direction.

That balance is what makes the call work.

Not a hard pitch. Not a random sales call. A focused conversation for people already showing the right signals.

That’s the part most people miss.

They treat every lead the same. I didn’t.

Instead of hoping everyone would show up live, watch to the end, and magically decide to buy…

I used the days before the webinar to identify the people who were already moving.

Then I gave those people a faster path.

Why this worked so well

Because it solved 3 big launch problems:

  • Low webinar show-up rates stopped being a bottleneck
  • Slow buyers were separated from ready buyers
  • Sales started before delivery , not after

And here’s the part most people miss:

The people who do not show up live are not always the least interested. Quite often, they are the opposite.

They are cash-rich, time-poor .

They are busy. They are in demand. They have full calendars. They are juggling clients, team, delivery, and life.

So when they register but do not show, that does not automatically mean they are low quality. In many cases, it means they are exactly the kind of buyer you want.

They want the outcome. They just do not always have the time or headspace to sit through the whole webinar at the scheduled time.

That is why relying on webinar attendance alone is such a mistake.

If your sales process only works when someone shows up live, stays to the pitch, and takes action there and then… you will miss a lot of strong buyers.

The better play is to qualify people before the webinar, spot the ones with genuine intent, and give the hottest leads a faster path through a Turbo Call .

So the webinar stopped being the only moment that mattered.

It became part of the campaign — not the whole campaign.

The result

That one shift helped me bring in £30k before I even delivered the webinar .

Here is how that broke down:

  • 1 x Full WhatsApp Done For You — £10k + VAT
  • 3 x WhatsApp Done With You Consultancy — £5k + VAT each
  • 2 x VIP WhatsApp Sales & Marketing Course — £2.5k + VAT each

Total before the webinar: £30k + VAT

Then on the webinar itself, I sold an additional 4 places on my WhatsApp Sales & Marketing Course at £1,000 + VAT .

That breakdown is interesting, because it tells you something important about buyer psychology.

The higher-value sales happened before the webinar. The lower-ticket sales happened on the webinar.

That is not an accident.

The people who bought early were often the most motivated buyers. But they were also the most likely to be time-poor .

They did not necessarily want to wait. They did not necessarily need a full webinar. They did not need more theory.

What they wanted was speed. Clarity. A recommendation. And a clear next step.

That is exactly what the Turbo Call gave them.

It let them skip the longer route and get straight to the part that mattered: “How can I use WhatsApp in my business, and what is the fastest way to implement this properly?”

That is why the premium offers sold first.

The people who value speed, certainty, and implementation the most will often buy earlier when you give them an appropriate path.

And very often, those same people are the ones who will not attend live.

Not because they are weak leads. Because they are busy. Because they are running businesses. Because they are already making decisions all day.

They register because they want the outcome. But if you force them down one path — “show up live, stay until the pitch, then decide” — you lose a lot of the very people most able and most willing to buy.

That is the real lesson here.

Sometimes the most motivated buyers do not have the time to join live.

So if your launch only sells to people who attend the webinar, you are likely filtering out some of your best buyers.

There is another layer to this as well:

proximity matters in higher-ticket sales.

The closer someone can get to you, the easier it is for them to buy.

That is especially true when the offer is more premium. People want access. They want context. They want to feel that you understand their situation. They want to believe they are making the right decision.

But here is the catch: you cannot give everyone proximity.

In my case, I had 150+ people registered for the webinar. There was no way I could offer every single one of them a call.

So instead of trying to be available to everyone, I prioritised the people most likely to buy.

That is where the qualification process became critical.

Out of those 150+ registrants, we identified 26 people as qualified . From those 26, 11 booked a Turbo Call . And from those 11 calls, 6 bought before the webinar .

That is the power of targeted proximity.

Not more calls. Not more chasing. Not more “let’s see who turns up.”

Just putting the right level of access in front of the right people.

That is also why the pre-webinar sales skewed toward the higher-ticket offers.

The people buying Done For You , Done With You , or VIP typically want more than information. They want proximity. They want tailored advice. They want confidence in the next step.

The Turbo Call gave them exactly that — without me having to spread my time across everyone who registered.

So rather than trying to be everywhere, I created a system that let me go deeper with the people most likely to move.

And that is often what higher-ticket sales really need: not more content, but the right proximity, with the right people, at the right moment.

Not by revealing everything up front. Not by making the process more complicated. But by creating a campaign that qualified leads early and created sales conversations with the right people before the event even started.

The takeaway

If your webinar is carrying the entire weight of your launch, you’re making life harder than it needs to be.

The smartest campaigns do not wait until the webinar to sell.

They build momentum, qualify intent, and create buying opportunities before you go live.

That’s exactly what this did.
